Training changing channels for responders in contact is dangerous. You will lose comms with those in the most danger. Non-committed units should do the shift.

Make players call out the hot/kill zones, make them declare the command post/staging as physical locations.

The application of lectured material to a simulated practical application.

I'm a gen X'er, the video portion was quite difficult for me and proved to be a point of frustration.

There needs to be hands on application. The computer based simulation is beneficial. The capstone project should be part hands on and part computer. Seeing the problem in 3 dimension/real time would further validate training objectives.

Large venue and multiple point entries and how to command/control resources mitigating blue on blue.

All was valuable, least important would be in charge of area command because I am not sure who I would contact if I was in that role (not experienced enough for some command aspects yet but this course helps).

Having Law do staging and fire do tactical (anything could happen).

Linking up with Law enforcement at my dept and getting on the same page tactic and command wise when an active shooter incident occurs in our district.
