Simulations. Breaking down a complex ICS situation to make it more managable.

Area command was good, but is probably a little above the level of responders that were in the course. Maybe give the instructors info ahead of time about the layout/makeup of the region they are training in so they tailor the program to those responders.

Maybe include a packet/handout with all the available forms, policies, SOG's, etc for students to take back to their agencies.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

This was good for command level. Most agencies will need more training in specific skills & tactics to make it all come together.

Explaining the command structure of an ASE, which is similar but not the same as ICS.

There may have been too many practical exercises. By the beginning of the 10th one, we all knew what we were doing.

It would be benificail to have less practicals and use that time to do a short "trainer" course. This information is very valuable, but now I have to back to my agency and develop my own training plan in order to train my co-workers.

Instuctor knowledge was thorough and conveyed well.

I had a bit of difficulty with simple things, i.e., driving to the scene, etc., but the environment was geat. Radio traffic sometimes inaudible.

Great opportunity for our region and to help us as we move deeper into the integrated response response method.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

We need to develop our version of this course to provide it to other responders. Scene management is most important on incidents going more than a few minutes.
