The Scenarios. These allowed us to "role-play" and learn from realistic incidents that could occur or have already occurred in the past.

Area Command. Based on my current rank/assignment, I would not be in a position of Area Command.

I would put the tactical station in a separate room that is out of sight and sound of the Contact Teams, and RTF Teams to further simulate real time communication issues and radio discipline.

I would like to take the ALERRT Active Shooter Training.

Handling school active shooters because my area covers a large amount of schools and this is always a concern we have.

Handling an event at an airport, although we may assist at an airport, we would not be of much assistance due to the time it would take to get there.

This course pushed me past my comfort level due to the fact that I have never taken a class like this. The instructors were positive and helpful throughout the entire course. I now feel more confident that I will be able to handle multiple jobs if this type of unfortunate event would occur.

I would love to do a more hands on class so that I can put this all together.

This course provided insight to the need for Staging, Tactical, and Command stations. It was extremely beneficial to work through the scenarios via computer simulations.

Perhaps disbanding RTF teams once there is no additional work for that unit. Law Enforcement resources could potentially be utilized elsewhere while there isn't a current need for that RTF.

I believe that this course material will integrate well with my current SWAT training as well as future inter-departmental training to ensure future success in these types of situations.
