The practical exercises were a positive, where the absence would not solidify the instruction.

As a dispatcher, I learned nothing useful in the dispatch role in the exercise. Rotate dispatchers to officers roles and vice versa. The mutual understanding from seeing each other side of the isle is a great unifier. I feel like this course didn't give a dispatcher much interaction.

I am thankful for being able to join this class as a dispatcher it has helped me understand more what the officers and fire personnel are doing while on scene.

I would say negotiation training would be helpful.

Working with the people I would in the real world and getting to see all side of the incidents from my job or from the users side.

The tactis of law enforcement and medics as I am not one will be in that situation.

The CAD system kept deleting my comments if I put in certian things it didn't like. Such as slashes.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Hostage and negotiator training as I might be the one to initally talk to a hostage taker and they might view dispatchers in a different regard compared to our law enforcement partners.
