The practical exercises were most valuable to me. You can have all the planning in the world before an incident kicks off, but as the old adage goes, "no battle plan survives first contact with the enemy." It was good to put my knowledge into practice and experience firsthand how quickly your expectations of a given situation change.

The PIO press conferences were not of any value to me as a dispatcher. It's far from what my duties and responsibilities entail.

While radio traffic will never be perfect, it certainly helps to have decent radios. You want radios to facilitate communication, not complicate it.

Interactions between the various players in the changing roles.

Not a lot for dispatchers to do after initial dispatch. Not common in an actual incident as calls would continue to roll in.

The C3 team did a great job still putting on this course without resources from Fire/EMS. They adapted very well.

This course was really a practical portion of ICS 400.

The lack of teaching on the dispatching side of mass cas situations.

I feel as though there should be some, definetley more information and teaching surrounding the dispatching pov of these situations, there was more questions on what we do rather than ideas on how to better ourselves in that time of crisis.
