As a dispatcher, working with units that are typically on the other side of the radio gave me a better understanding of the things that they are experiencing all while doing the job that I was supposed to do.

I honestly think the entire course was valuable. I understand the moving parts better now, than I did on Tuesday morning.

I would love to see a more after initial dispatch specific game plan for dispatch.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Making sure that I am up to speed with my local policies and procedures for when this occurs locally. I want to ready to handle the coordination for our responding units prior to an EOC being prepared.

All of it was useful and structured in a way that allows the whole picture from initial contact with dispatch through to the finish. It is hard to replicate that in a scenario but in this class it accomplished what i wanted out of the class.
