I believe that taking this class helped to show how/what officers go through while in a situation like this. Being in a room and behind screens, it is hard to understand how it is all handled and this class showed how (somewhat) it would be handled if this situations happens (to me again).

This class felt as though it was more for officers. Like I said in the previous question, it was great to learn how they do it in the field, but I did not feel as though there was tons of things for dispatch to use.

They talked about negotiating with the suspects and I believe that would be beneficial to dispatch in several ways!.

I feel like all of it was applicable, but some of it was more knowledge about what the people I am dispatching are going to see, think, and experience. That helps me consider how to support them best.

I wish that the role of dispatch was more involved, and that we could relay information to those we are dispatching in a clearer way. The equipment was the biggest challenge.
