The levels of command and the exchange of authority.

Least valuable is the intel / media side of the incident. In dispatch, our main focus is to respond to the command's needs for more resources and where people are at. The media is not our worries at that point.

I suggest having a more dispatch orientated type of training beyond this to how dispatch can excel in coordinating everything and efficiently.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Completing dispatch orientated active shooter training to prepare what the dispatch center would look like during that incident.

The intelligence section was the most valuable in my line of work. And just knowing how other agencies and what even my troopers may experience during situations like these ones, its nice knowing what goes on on the other side of the radio and how they work.

The class instructions was great in getting stats and a more educational point of view to stuff and the scenarios allowed us to play out what we had just learned.

I felt one of the instructors felt it was important to make his own political opinions know and I think overall we could have done without.

This state has had a mass causality event that killed 60 people in an outdoor venue in Las Vegas. I wish we could have seen events that our state has faced before and could face again so we can be better prepared.

Interagency training and communications as well as hostage negotiations.

The scenarios were valuable as a dispatcher to understand how the different LE FD & EMS groups work together and the role dispatch plays in aiding in info documenting and resource requesting.

I thought the course was TRULY EXCELLENT. I encourage and advocate for funding to continue. I have text several of my command staff that I wish this course could be taught to our agency and we could bring the team to our PD for training.
