Monitoring radio traffic to get a better understanding of how many moving parts area actually in place during a large scale incident, and how those operations are supposed to function on the PD/FD/EMS side.

Area command, only because it is not something that I as a dispatcher would necessarily be concerned with.

As a dispatcher, I feel as though a bit more emphasis could be put on the tasks that we as dispatchers do behind the scenes. EX. actually having to determine which mutual aid resources to to send from where, and what capabilities are required vs available. For this most of our decision making was determined by the board, as opposed to testing that decision making during complex incidents.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would like to complete ALEERT training, as I have not had the opportunity yet.

As a dispatcher, I love being able to see what happens on scene. I find it valuable to be able to see the other side of the microphone, and learn how truly hectic an incident can be.

Obviously this course is aimed at responders on the street with dispatch being support. As great at the material was, more training somehow including dispatching duties would be a great addition to the class (or a different class just for dispatchers in that capacity).

This course was great. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all questions. They were on point all the time. Great job.

Any training that can bring both sides of the microphone together is helpful. Being able to talk out incidents and come together to get the job done is awesome!.
