The practical exercises, being able to visualize where and how scene response would unfold. Also the comingling of all disciplines was fantastic, and created an environment we rarely get to train in.

The generic nature of dispatching was difficult to understand what was being expected.

It would have been nice to have it more customized to what is generally asked for by units in the field, would also be nice to see them using radio resources that we have available in our area for these kinds of large events.

Include more people instead of using chips. Separate branches and groups as it would be in a real scenario. Get better radios that wouldn't allow multiple people talking at the same time like we have in the field.

As a dispatcher, it was so valuable to be able to observe what the units are dealing with in the field. Having that knowledge will inevitably improve how I can assist my officers from dispatch.

Because I dispatch for a small department with one dispatcher, it was difficult to visualize what these scenarios would look like in my typical environment. But again, awesome to see the different areas of dispatch that I do not normally have experience with.

Learning each branch of the incident and working alongside them.

Scribing at the sections - as a dispatcher, this likely wouldn't be happening.

As a dispatcher, I would recommend involving them more with the incident as it goes on by splitting channels so as not to have everyone on the same talkgroup. Having worked these incidents, this is how we have handled it.
