I simply appreciated learning the new system being rolled out across the county.

The audio recording of how radio transmissions should be. We all know in real life that it's not going to get organized to that level of effectiveness and calmness until hours into the event.

I agree that this course should be renamed to "Active Threat" or "Critical Incident" instead of shooter as it can apply to any major event. Additionally LE is going to have a hard time with this new process. It goes against everything we have trained for years for. There's no way the 4th or 5th officer on scene is going to hang back to setup a tactical group. It's just not in our nature to do when people are still getting hurt or dying.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would like to attend more training on recognizing security threats or target hardening for schools and other "soft" targets.

Be able to participant in the hands on scenarios in different roles regardless of rank was very valuable. This gave you chance to see what happens outside of your particular expert area.
