The practical application, problem solving under pressure with the appropriate guidance.

Day 2, sitting in front of the computers. We weren't overly familiar with the maps, which caused a delay in activity and communication. Maybe this could be done in smaller groups to allow for more rotation?.

Over the three days, I was incident command of one event and incident command for a secondary event. The rest of the practical application, I spent in front of a computer on an RTF or Contact team. That didn't do much for my abilities or confidence level in a command role.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Emergency management operations courses. We have a few large venues and several large events that happen throughout the year. The time to prep is now, not the day of the event. Thank you for you time and patience with us.

The table-top exercises and putting all the steps into a practical exercise. It's much easier to learn by doing hands-on than just discussing what to do.

N/A-it was all informative and is a great tool to add to our toolbox.

The course needs to be a bit longer, which I know is out of your control. Even a six hour course vs trying to cram all the useful info into four hours and then adding practical applications (table-top excercises) was a lot to try and retain.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

RTF training in which we train with TEMS or FIRE/EMS on team movement and how to work together during these types of situations.
