Interfacing with responders of various experience levels.

Not enough integration of Emergency Management in the scenarios. The only piece that really touched on EM was the reunification portion which was very small.

The scenarios should better integrate emergency management. If an EM isn't available, that section of the scenario would easily be removed. Or changing Area Command to EOC in one of the scenarios. Many smaller jurisdictions just don't have the personnel to be able to staff an Area Command, so going straight from the incidents to the EOC would be helpful for more real-world experience.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

EOC simulation on the support and coordination during an active shooter incident.

Too many scenarios, I feel like there could have been a few less but longer in time.

As an EM I was not able to participate that much in some of the scenarios or exercises so it would have been nice to incorporate us more.

Lots of it. As an EM, my experience and familiarity with this is already pretty extensive. It was not a great use of 3 days for me.

Not curriculum related, but the inability to staff TTT, Staging and Command with adequate numbers of students due to call outs and staffing issues at home agencies.

I learned more about the application of ICS 400 in four hours than I did in taking the 400 class. Deploying this type of tech in the ICS 400 class would be a game changer.
