Too short. And with out follow on and progessive training with multiple agencies skills will deteriorate.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

Continue to build on basics & more dispatchers involved. We in dispatch “are behind the scenes “ yet are sometimes kept in the dark until the last minute when it hits the fan and on scene units need resources immediately. We can’t wiggle our nose & make assets appear. Most of us try to be as proactive as possible but tend to be ignored.

The real time computer aided scenarios provided the most realistic and applicable training of any FEMA class I have ever attended.

This course was the first FEMA/NIMS type course I have ever taken that accurately and effectively utilized the dispatch component of incident command with real time actionable exercises. This should be a mandatory class for all emergency services.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I would like to see all incident command type classes done in this format with the computer aided scenario simulations.
