Having everyone together in one area to be able to observe what is going on and dispatching in a calm environment.

Dispatching, it would have been nice to observe some of the other positions up close since it was a training environment to better learn what they are doing since it is not possible to do it in a live environment.

Alot of the scenarios only indirectly included dispatch. most of the radio traffic was not directed to or meant for us.

The scenarios were most valuable. Most people in our fields learn by doing. We have to repeat things a few times to make them stick.

The shortcuts in the CAD system were difficult to handle. An example, I would try and type "Per unit110, information provided". Because PER is a shortcut, it would automatically change it to a perimeter comment.

What other training is most important to you now that you have completed this course?

I will continue to assist with local active shooter trainings provided by my Sheriff's Dept to continue using and furthering my knowledge.
