About This Resource

This brochure provides an overview of the ASIM Advanced program. ASIM Advanced is a 3-day, 24-hour, high‑fidelity simulation experience that stress‑tests an agency or region’s active shooter plan under real pressure. Over three days, up to 60 participants across disciplines run 10 complete simulated incidents using the ASIM Checklist, rotating through key positions until actions become second nature. The program is developed and delivered by NCIER® (National Center for Integrated Emergency Response), the training division of C3 Pathways, Inc.

Program Highlights

  • 24-hour, 3-day in-person course for up to 60 participants
  • Full-team, multi-discipline delivery (law, fire/EMS, dispatch, PIO, emergency management, and air assets)
  • Uses a multi-responder 3D simulation system in a high-fidelity environment
  • 10 complete incident repetitions from first call to last transport
  • Participants rotate through ASIM Checklist roles to build real experience
  • Surfaces command, communication, and coordination gaps before a real event
  • Developed by NCIER® / C3 Pathways (NCSA Technology Procurement Bid 27-06-0212)

What ASIM Advanced Does

  • Builds repetition under pressure by running complete incidents and rotating participants through ASIM Checklist positions.
  • Produces after-action records that help document gaps and improvements for leaders and stakeholders.
